Alvarez has performed well for Guardiola since he made the move to the Etihad Stadium in 2022 from River Plate. However, with the emergence of Erling Haaland in the side, he has failed to secure a spot on the starting XI and has been linked with a move away from the eight-time Premier League winners. However, he has suggested he is happy to stay with City past this summer.

Alvarez has been heavily linked with Chelsea for a summer move with Enzo Maresca looking to rejuvenate the attack that faltered under Mauricio Pochettino last season. The Argentine forward's comments will have pleased the Chelsea ownership as he has kept his future open regardless of his apparent happiness under Guardiola.
